Amon Hen Part 7 Forgotten Figures

In this blog post we look at the creation of the Amon Hen head statue, where Boromir tries to take the ring from Frodo. Lets start with the reference we found

The shape is a regal human head with some headwear that resembles some kind of helmet. We can start by using a free tool called makeHuman and export a body, and delete everything except the head. This will be our base mesh

We worked on the head shape first trying to match the reference, then the helmet shape

These were then brought into ZBrush for detailing work, trying to match the reference as closely as possible.

This was then printed on the Elegoo Saturn 3D printer

I also showed a brief look at how I am planning to create the forest trees, you can see some of the work below but there will be a post called 'Concerning Trees' coming soon which will cover this more in depth
